DARLING in {White} Finish
***Sold***

~~I think this turned out sooooo CUTE in white~~

 .............

ThE ReFIniSiNG PrOCesS.....
I lightly sanded the piece, then sprayed it with a primer/paint in bright white.  After it cured, I lightly distressed the piece with sandpaper and a scraper.  I went back later and applied more paint here-n-there to add MORE character.  Then scraping and sanding again. After this step, I finished it off in a HIGH GLOSS finish.
PERFECTION!
I glaze so many of my pieces~~
~~it's nice to have a crisp white piece in my shop now and then.
........

Loving how this turned out.  HMMM, maybe I should have another baby?  Just kidding.  It's going to look so nice in {someone else's} nursery.
Clean, Pure, White.

I think I've inspired myself to paint something else the same way....

{L}ight GrEEn RoCKiNg ChAIr

**Sold**

LiGhT GrEEn RoCKiNg ChAIr
I have a thing for rocking chairs, do U?

This is a rocking chair that was a "DeCOraTiOn" chair in her nursery.  It was never sat in~~YEP, sometimes things are just for "looks".
 My husband may never understand this......

The color of this rocking chair is a light lime green color.  It was originally painted the colors of  my little girl's nursery.  I distressed, glazed it, then apply a thick semi-gloss finish.

Have you seen her nursery, yet?
Go have a look because she is now 2 and I'm going redo it for a "bigger" little girl's room.  I'm thinking a "play" hutch and little tea party table.  That's why I have to get this rocky chair out of the corner!

You can see her nursery here: HoMe ToUR GiRLy NuRsEry.
Anyhow, her wall colors are borderline florescent-so I glazed this rocking chair JUST A BIT, to take some of the "BURNING GLOW" out.  The pics aren't doing the color justice.  It is much lighter {I PROMISE}.  The color is perfect, for a perfect little girl's room.  The color makes me happy.  If it wasn't "right," I would have repainted it for my only little girl.

Question:  Are you spreading the word about the AWESOME NEW BLOG?

{B}lack with a little distressing

THIS PIECE IS UNIQUE!!!
I {Heart} that it doesn't even look like the same table anymore.  The sides were taken off and the holes filled with putty.  Then the refinishing process began~~
Here is the...
.
BEFORE
This piece was glazed and finished off in a gloss poly.

& AFTER

The edges totally PoPPeD after the distressing.  Notice the cool corner designs that weren't even noticeable until the transformation.  This little table has a bite of flare that you don't see everywhere.
~~I like it~~

{W}ho's rOoM iS ThIS????

Yesterday~~~Brody's Room
Today~~~Gavin's Room.
.
.
.
NOTE: I also have a link to this room in my side bar.  I am just making sure you get to have a good look at it before the MAKEOVER.

This is the room that Gavin now lives in and that I am currently redecorating in Orange, Black and Blue.
~~Stay tuned for the reveal~~

 I kept all of the "old" vintage toys from this room.  I plan use them to create an "Old Toy" Christmas tree this year.  It should be darling.  I want to make/sew some little elves who are hanging them by ladders and swings from the ceiling.  Have to make the ladder and swing too.   It will be {d}arling.
I'm glad to have PINTEREST
to find the elf creating ideas and such~~
~~are you following me on PINTEREST ?
OH, if you don't know what it is....get out from under the rock your living under.  LOL

 See that dresser in the corner?  I'm going to refinish it and sell it!
If you want it in a specific color, contact me  HERE.

My plans include:
Repainting the bed and long red shelf.
I have a small desk to refinish.
Taking down the boarder wall paper stuff.
New curtains.
Framed art-including motorcycle pics {which I have to edit and print-maybe take some more because most of his gear is in his blue gear NOT the new OrANge StUfF and it MATTERS to THIS KID}.

Ummmm....find stuff to put on the shelf and some way for him to display his different trophies.

I have a few things under my belt....
I already refinished an orange dresser
New lamp and "Bed in a Bag" stuff bought.
ALMOST done right?  NOT.
I enjoy doing stuff like this-BUT HATE the MESS!!! Am I the only one?
Oh, and the stuff U find in the cracks.  These boys keep EVERYTHING--even rocks!!!

YOU REALLY HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY WHEN THEY AREN'T LOOKING TOO-

So, anyway......I'll show the progress soon.
Later.

{Glass} ToP ENd TaBLe

This {LiTtLE NuMBeR} is FAB
Sold!

 {C}ute accent table for any room!!!

~~~Creamy White~~~
22" Deep X 27" Wide X 20" High
The finish is a chocolate glaze with a semi-gloss clear finish.  I used a Vasoline Technique to take off most of the white before distressing it more.  I wanted an extra layer of aging added, so, after scrapping off some of the white, I repainted it again with a watered down coat.  I love how some of the thin white shows here-and-there.  VeRy COol EfFEct - Don'tcha think?
BEFORE:
A {LiTtLE} Progress...
I found that some of the manufacturing joints were bug'in me---SO I had to putty some more before going any further.
I like my stuff perfect (even if the "perfect" is distressed to look imperfect, does that make sense?)
Lov'in Glass Tops!!!
 I have glass on almost everything that is used often in our home.  If it isn't part of the design, I have a piece cut and added to the top.
I am the person who leaves a drink on a wood top and walks away....
then, returns to a liquid ring.
REMEMBER this (CLICK IT TO GO TO THE POSTING) {Little} Red TaBLE
It now has a piece of glass added to it BECAUSE, I caused a liquid ring.
 Yes, I got to refinish it again.
The glass I bought has a beveled edge and is tinted a dark brown color.
I {HEART} the tinted piece of glass--it makes the chocolate stain appear almost black-YET I can still see the checkered pattern in the top.
This is my home, I kept the piece instead of selling it!!!  My hubby is like: "Ang, you need to sell stuff too."  HA, Ha, ha.....
I {HeARt} all of my readers!
XOXO
